2017 has only begun, but Japan’s world-famous video game giant Nintendo has already revealed a preview of what is to come this year!
In line with its latest console, the Nintendo Switch, which was first unveiled last October and which will hit the shelves on the 3rd of March 2017, Nintendo‘s legendary game developer Shigeru Miyamoto has provided some valuable insights to avid fans and gamers around the world.
Nintendo’s well-loved Super Mario series will see a new title, Super Mario Odyssey, that will mark a return to a style resembling its more classic 3D platform games such as Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy, placing an emphasis on world exploration in gameplay and appealing more to core gamers. Miyamoto has additionally mentioned that the camera controls have been made more user-friendly, in response to difficulties faced by some players in earlier consoles.
Alongside Super Mario Odyssey, Nintendo has also revealed a preview of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which has been dubbed by The Verge as “Nintendo’s Skyrim“, Xenoblade 2, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and other titles from fan favourite series! More details will be available during E3 2017, which will take place from 13th to 15th June later this year in Los Angeles.
