Have you tried the Chain Chronicle tower-defense role-playing game before? Get ready to look forward to the release of its film trilogy “Chain Chronicle: The Light of Haecceitas” in less than a month’s time! The first film will premiere on 3rd December 2016, while the subsequent two films will air from 14th January 2017 and 11th February 2017 onwards respectively. An anime adaptation for television will air concurrently with the launch of the film trilogy next year in January.
Enjoy listening to anisong tracks and catching up with the latest singers in the industry? Then be sure to watch out for this name: Nao Toyama. This series will see the up-and-coming 24-year old voice actress make her name in anisong by singing both the opening theme for the film trilogy, titled “Chain the world“, as well as the ending theme for the TV anime adaptation, titled “True Destiny“.
Toyama started her career as a seiyuu six years ago in 2010, and perhaps fittingly enough, she will now voice a legendary singer, Mujika, in the same anime series. Some of her character roles include Koyuki Himekawa in the currently ongoing Magical Girl Raising Project and Himiko in Nobunaga the Fool. She is currently part of the INTENTION talent agency, alongside fellow seiyuu-singers Kenichi Suzumura and Takahiro Sakurai, and will be signed under the record label flying DOG, which also hosts prominent artistes in the Japanese music scene such as nano, AKINO from bless4, Maaya Sakamoto and May’n.
Toyama has a message for her fans:
Today, lined up in the middle of the cold, your warm words were delivered so thank you very much!
For everything you’ve done, I usually feel very energetic but today, from the bottom of my heart, I feel even more energetic.
From now on, I will work hard! Good night!
Both songs will feature in Toyama‘s first single under her own name – “True Destiny/Chain the world” – which will be released on 1st February, 2017. The single will be available in two CD-only editions and one limited-edition CD plus DVD release, which will include the music video for “True Destiny” and a making-of video.
We at J-Network would like to congratulate Nao Toyama on her solo music debut and look forward to more exciting releases from her in the future.
