The Anime Expo 2016 at Los Angeles saw a lot of announcements being made by Sekai Project during their panel on the third day, ranging from 8 new titles being announced, and to even a NEKOPARA Collectible Figurine Boxset now up for preorder. However, what may have been the most surprising announcement for the publisher most well-known for releasing English versions of visual novels, such as CLANNAD, The Grisaia Trilogy, and NEKOPARA, was that an anime of NEKOPARA would be available on Kickstarter soon.
Unfortunately, little else is known about the anime adaptation or even its Kickstarter at the moment, as the tweet by Sekai Project revealed little else.
Also coming soon, NEKOPARA Anime Kickstarter!!!! More information in the future.

For those unfamiliar with Kickstarter, a brief explanation would be that Kickstarter projects are crowd-funded projects with a clear monetary goal and defined time limit. Of Sekai Project’s 11 Kickstarter projects, the majority of them (10 of 11) have been English versions of visual novels, and none of them have been anime. Furthermore, NEKOPARA is a relatively new franchise, with the original, NEKOPARA: Vol. 1, only having been released on 29 December, 2014. It must be admitted, though, that the NEKOPARA franchise achieved relatively high financial success and popularity from its outset.
More details are sure to be released in future about this upcoming anime adaptation, so stay tuned!
