It was recently announced that Love Live! School Idol Project Sunshine would be getting an anime adaptation that will air in Summer 2016. Just like the ever popular series Love Live! School Idol Project(ラブライブ！スクールアイドルフェスティバル), which featured the school idol group Muse (μ’s), Love Live! School Idol Project Sunshine will be featuring a group of school idols named Aqours! The nine idols will be split into 3 groups, with each of the groups having 3 idols. The group names revealed are Group A being: CYaRon, Group B being:AZALEA and Group C being: Guilty Kiss.
Yō Watanabe, Ruby Kurosawa, and Chika Takami will form the group known as CYaRon, as voted by the fans in the Dengeki G Magazine today. As there are 9 idols, they are split into 3 different 3 man teams.
The group AZALEA will consist of Dia Kurosawa, Kanan Matsuura, and Hanamaru Kunikida.
As for the third and final group Guilty Kiss, the member line up would be Yoshiko Tsushima, Riko Sakurauchi, and Mari Ohara.
Voting for the group names opened on 1st February 2016 in the Dengeki G Magazine and over 5000 submissions were considered, eventually ending with the ones that were just announced coming out tops.
Veteran Love Live! School Idol Project fans and music loving anime fans should look forward to the television anime series that will be airing in Summer 2016! It certainly looks promising and surely holds a great deal of entertaining content for the viewers. Above is the official trailer for the anime featuring the new idols of the group Aqours! The producers of the anime have been revealed to be ASCII MEDIA WORKS, which produced 2012 hit anime Sword Art Online(ソードアート・オンライン), 2014 anime Sakurasou No Pet Na Kanojo(さくら荘のペットな彼女), and the original Love Live! School Idol Project! anime. The other producer is LANTIS, which has also produced 2015’s hit anime One Punch Man(ワンパンマン), Kuroko No Basuke(黒子のバスケ) and also the original Love Live! School Idol Festival anime.
