Moujuutsukai to Ouji-sama -Flower and Snow- Localization Kickstarter Has Been Launched!

Otome game players may be pleased to hear that Gloczus Inc. – the localization company responsible for bringing beloved otome series Hakuoki and Amnesia to English-speaking audiences – is looking to localize Beastmaster and Prince -Flower and Snow- (working title for the localization, with the original title being Moujuutsukai to Ouji-sama -Flower and Snow-) as well! However, due to the difficulty of undertaking such a huge localization project, Gloczus Inc. has launched a Kickstarter to fund the project, which had since gathered $39 671 of its $150 000 goal as of the publishing of this article.

This title was released in 2010 for the Sony PlayStation 2 by Otomate, the otome game division of Japanese game developer Idea Factory. Since then, it has garnered enough popularity for Idea Factory to release two more titles in the series! Currently, the original game has received a port to the Sony PlayStation Portable, along with a fandisk titled Moujuutsukai to Ouji-sama -Snow Bride- on the same platform. Moujuutsukai to Ouji-sama -Flower and Snow- was released in 2015 for the Sony PlayStation Vita, with mobile ports for Android and iOS devices in the works!

From the synopsis provided by Gloczus Inc, Beastmaster and Prince -Flower and Snow– stars an intrepid protagonist named Tiana who aspires to become a great Beastmaster. During the course of the story, she meets four Princes from the neighboring country of Farzan who had been cursed by a witch, causing them to take the form of animals!

Mattheus, (voiced by Hikaru Midorikawa) the charismatic first prince, became a lion, while Alfred, (voiced by Kosuke Toriumi) the reserved second prince, transformed into a wolf. The surly third prince, Lucia, (voiced by Hiro Shimono) become a duck and Erik, (voiced by Yuuki Kaji) the adorable fourth prince, become a rabbit. There’s more than meets the eye, though – this terrible (but adorable) curse was only the tip of the iceberg to a larger conspiracy which had been simmering in the depths of the kingdom of Farzan. In addition to the handsome princes, there are two other men for Tiana to pursue – her serious childhood friend, Klaus (voiced by Hiroki Yasumoto) and the cheery pharmacist, Silvio. (voiced by Takuma Terashima)

Of course, no game about fluffy animals would be truly complete without a chance to pet them. Unlike many other games in the same genre, Moujuutsukai to Ouji-sama -Flower and Snow- will give players a chance to pet and interact with the boys’ animal forms directly instead of just showing you a bunch of CGs!

With that said, as expected of a Kickstarter campaign, Gloczus Inc. is offering attractive perks for generous backers. For a contribution of USD25, backers can receive a digital version of the game once it is released! Whats more, backers who choose to donate even more are entitled to exclusive Kickstarter backer rewards which range from a random gift of one of twelve eye-catching pins for just USD30 to a body pillow case printed with an illustration of your favorite boy should the pledge USD130 and over! (note that shipping is only possible for certain countries, so do try to arrange for a proxy to receive your rewards for you if your country isn’t listed on the Kickstarter page!) If the Kickstarter reaches its goal, the localized game is expected to be released in September 2016.
