“Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o!” Latest PV Gives More Details About Upcoming Anime

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o!  (translated to “Gifting This Wonderful World With Blessings!”), a series of light novels written by author Natsume Akatsuki and published by Kadokawa Shoten, recently released a PV for the upcoming anime adaptation, done by Studio Deen, which was announced earlier this year. The PV showcases not only a taste of the setting and characters of this story, but also announces the voice actors of the main characters.

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o!, for those who have yet to hear of it, is a light novel series of the reincarnation genre, in which case the Main Character is, for some reason or another and through some means or another, is sent to another world, typically via reincarnation.

In this story, our main character, Satou Kazuma (voiced by Fukushima Jun, who also voiced Togashi Yuuta of Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! and the Yuusha of Maou Maoyuu Yuusha) was killed trying to save a girl from being run over. After death, he ends up in the afterlife, greeted by the goddess Aqua (voiced by Amamiya Sora, who also voiced Kirishima Touka of Tokyo Ghoul and Akame of Akame ga Kill!). Eventually, Kazuma and Aqua end up travelling to a new world with the goal of fighting the Demon King, picking up 2 new comrades along the way – the Arch Mage who specialises in explosions, Megumin (voiced by Takahashi Rie, who also voiced Naoki Miki of Gakkougurashi!) and Darkness the reliable crusader (voiced by Kayano Ai, who also voiced Honma Meiko of Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai and Kasumigaoka Utaha of Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata.)

The series currently spans 7 volumes, with the 1st volume released on 1st October 2013. Fans of the series may note that the voice actors for the anime are different from the voice actors of the Drama CDs. The PV also gives further details of the anime, such as the OP & ED details and release dates, as well as the fact that the anime will be airing starting from January 2016.
