GUNPLA EXPO 2015 to be held at nex Shopping Centre in Singapore from end-October to early November

On 2nd October 2015, the Facebook Page Club Gunpla – Bandai South Asia Oficcial Page announced that their annual GUNPLA EXPO Gundam franchise mini-convention will be held at nex Shopping Centre in Serangoon town, Singapore from 28th October to 8th November 2015.


Similar to previous GUNPLA expos in the last few years, the mini-convention will carry event-exclusive items, and showcase the Gundam Builder World Championships (GBWC), among other features. The GBWC2015, an international competition in which GUNPLA modellers create pieces of work using model kits depicting mecha from the Gundam franchise, which started in March this year required local participants to photograph and submit their work by 24th August 2015. The winner of the national stage will enter the international stage near the end of this year.

The previous Gundam convention in Singapore was the GUNDAM DOCKS in Singapore held at from 4th to 28th June 2015 at the atrium and front exterior of Ngee Ann City Shopping Centre.

In addition, they can get a rough idea of this year’s event by checking out the highlights of the previous expo in 2014, which was held at the Bugis+ shopping centre. Below is the promotional poster for said event, which featured the then-recent Gundam anime series, a presentation by  Bandai Hobby Products Department’s Gunpla Developer, Katsumi Kawaguchi, GUNPLA tutorial sessions and event-exclusive merchandise.
