Kalafina Confirms New Album Release for September 2015!

The lovely ladies of Japanese vocal trio Kalafina will release a brand new album this September! Kalafina is renowned for performing the theme songs of highly acclaimed anime such as Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Fate/stay night and Kara no Kyoukai. The announcement was made on their official blog on the Oricon website as well as their official website. This will be their fourth studio album and it is titled far on the water.

far on the water is set for release on 16 September 2015. It will come in a total of four editions! The regular edition containing just the audio CD will be priced at 3,100 yen. There will also be two limited editions (Type A and Type B). Type A comes with the audio CD and DVD while Type B comes with the audio CD and Blu-ray disc.

The video contents for both Types A and B are identical. Fans can look forward to the music videos for heavenly blue and far on the water. Furthermore, recorded footage of ring your bell and far on the water from their recent concert (~Kalafina LIVE THE BEST 2015 “Red day” & “Blue day”~) at the famed Nippon Budokan will be included in the DVD/Blu-ray disc! Type A and Type B will be priced at 3,900 yen and 4,100 yen respectively.

The last limited edition is a very unique collectors’ item! This edition will be presented in the form of an analog panel which is akin to a retro long play vinyl record. Like the Limited Edition Type B, it will be priced at 4,100 yen.

With new content and even live footage from one of their latest concerts, fans of Wakana, Keiko and Hikaru should definitely look forward to this anticipated release! As fans wait for the new album’s further details to be released, perhaps watching their Budokan concert on the concert Blu-ray/DVD which will be released on 15 July 2015 for both Blue and Red days will be a great way to ease the long wait!
