Akira Itou releases Vanguard-themed stickers for LINE Messenger

Cardfighters fond of artsy and novel stickers to use in their private messages can now consider stylizing their daily conversations with characters from the first season of the trading-card-game based anime Cardfight!! Vanguard. On 23rd June, Vanguard manga and card illustrator Akira Itou announced on his twitter that stickers for use in the mobile messenger app LINE made by recoloring panels from past volumes, will be released:

The stickers mostly depict the main characters from Team Q4Aichi Sendou, Kai Toshiki, Misaki Tokura and Kamui Katsuragi in various expressions, as well as that of protagonist Aichi’s signature unit, Blaster Blade. The stickers can be purchased for US$0.99 or 50 in-app Coins.

To download the stickers, readers can look up the katakana of “Vanguard“, ヴァンガード in the Sticker Store of their LINE app.

In addition to the Cardfight!! Vanguard franchise, Itou is also well-remembered for illustrating the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters spinoff manga, Yu-Gi-Oh! R under the direction of franchise creator Kazuki Takahashi.

He recently visited Singapore for an autograph session and a brief speech at the Cardfight!! Vanguard Special Stage panel at the Japanese media convention Chara Expo 2015, held at the Singapore Expo on 20 and 21st June 2015. J-Network will publish a report on this panel at a later date.
