Rising seiyuu star Saori Hayami, renowned for lending her voice to iconic roles such as Soul Eater Not!’s Anya Hepburn and Sword Art Online’s Sachi, will have her major debut in the music world with a new song! While Hayami has performed numerous character songs, many of which have proven to be extremely quirky and sung with great vocal control, she has never released a song under her own name before.

After a successful career as a seiyuu since 2007, Hayami will sing the theme song to the anime, Akagami no Shirayuki-hime to mark her first foray as a professional singer. She will be under the Warner Bros Home Entertainment label for her music career! The debut song is titled やさしい希望 (Yasashii Kibou . Aside from singing and writing the lyrics for the theme song to the anime, Hayami will also play the titular character, Shirayuki.

To promote her new song, a special live broadcast will be on-air on Japanese video hosting site, Nico-Nico Douga on 29th May 2015. Hayami has also provided her own comments on her solo debut on both Twitter and on her artiste website which has recently gone live.

“いつも応援して頂きありがとうございます。この度、ソロデビューをさせて頂くことになりました!皆様により素敵なものをお届けできるように、1つ1つ積み重ねていきたいと思います。よろしくお願いいたします。 早見沙織”

“Thank you very much for cheering on me! This time, I can have my solo debut! I want to deliver something wonderful to everyone, and I would like to stack it up one by one! Yoroshikuonegaiitashimasu! Saori Hayami”

Akagami no Shirayuki-hime is set to air this July. While the date for the song’s release has yet to be announced, the up-coming live on Nico-Nico Douga is sure to keep her fans thoroughly entertained and excited for the starlet’s new offerings in the entertainment industry!
