NWA Jr. Heavyweight Championship rematch announced for Wrestling Hinokuni

NJPW Superstar, Jushin “Thunder” Liger had to defend his NWA Jr. Heavyweight Championship against the challenger Steve Anthony at Cauliflower Alley Club in Las Vegas during a NWA show. The defending champion had defended the title for 156 days since his victory against Chase Owens in Osaka.

Steve Anthony overcome the odds and battled hard and defeated Liger to become the new NWA Jr. Heavyweight Champion for the first time in his career, and ended the 156-day streak for the losing champion.

A huge celebration was heard throughout the arena as the new champion celebrated his championship reign for the first time in his career.

NJPW recently has announced that Liger will have his rematch for the NWA Jr. Heavyweight Championship at “Wrestling Hinokuni” which will take place at Kumamoto on 29th April this year in addition to the main event for the NEVER Openweight Championship.

It will definitely be an event worthy of anticipation.
