Lantis Festival in Taipei to be simulcasted to Japanese and Hong Kong cinemas

Live viewings are no stranger to the Japanese concert scene with famous artistes such as Masaharu Fukuyama, Babymetal and L’Arc-en-Ciel having their concerts simultaneously streamed to cinemas all over Japan and other countries, allowing fans who are unable to be physically present at the venue to have their share of the fun.

Recently though, Anisong has been given the same prestigious treatment. In 2013, Nana Mizuki had her live concert in Taiwan simulcasted to at least four different countries and had another live viewing of her concert in Singapore in 2014 played to Japanese and overseas theatres as well. Likewise, the hit idol seiyuu unit, µ’s had their Love Live! 5th μ’s Go→ Go! Love Live! 2015 ~Dream Sensation! ~ concert simulcasted to Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and Thailand.

This time round, both days of Anisong World Tour Lantis Festival in Taipei will be simulcasted to selected cinemas in Japan and Hong Kong. The line-up for the Taipei leg will include µ’s, OLDCODEX, Kenichi Suzumura, JAM Project, selected members of  THE IDOLM@STER MILLIONSTARS and other artistes as well. So far, plans to add additional overseas viewings have yet to be announced. The Taipei stop for the 19th April concert was sold out.

Fans watching the live simulcast from Japan are also treated to exclusive merchandise as shown below.
